congratulations Lara, Nicole, Sally, Jessie, and Frances!Gosh, haven’t bean bags come a long way since the ’70s?! Comfort meets cute in these modern-but-retro Cocoon Couture bean bags, which are made from vintage-inspired fabrics and 100% cotton soft cord fabric.
They have teamed up with Cotton On Kids to run a collaboration featuring two exclusive and three signature designs. We were sent the incredibly adorable owl and the bird, and the others you can see here.
cute, huh?We’ve dirtied ours already…
Cocoon CoutureΒ began in 2004 when Ingrid and Melanie, two design-loving Aussie mums, got together to create beautiful and inspiring children’s spaces. Their range of wall stickers, room accessories and a bunch of other things have brightened up kid rooms all across the country. They also have one of the cutest websites in all the land!
Our beanbags get used every single day, and are a wonderfully cosy place to read, watch Peppa Pig (heh), or to push your sister onto*.
Cocoon Couture and Cotton On Kids are giving Veggie Mama readers the chance to win one of 5 bean bags for your own little ones. All you have to do is leave a comment about which bean bag you’d like and why. A winner will be chosen on the basis of that comment next Friday December 13 at noon Queensland time. Australian residents only, sorry. Five winners will each win one bean bag (beans not included). Winners will be emailed and announced here on this post.
The bean bags are worth $59.95 each, although they are on sale online at Cotton On Kids for $41.96. Party on!
Good luck! I bet you know someone who will just love one of these.
*not recommended. Try telling that to my kids, though.

Ooh I love these, I saw them in Cotton On Kids the other day. They are all cute, but I am partial to the deer! I’m trying to get back into the habit of reading to Minnie every day, and this would be the perfect place to snuggle up with a good book, as your gorgeous girls clearly demonstrate!
Jemma Brunell says
Ooooh I love these
My 14 month year old boy has just started bringing books over too me and ” telling ” aka grunting and hitting me in the leg until I read to him. This would be perfect for our impromptu and frequent story sessions.
The red is my pick easier to hide the frequent and impromptu stains of a toddler.

Michelle Sheriff says
I love the deer but aren’t they all beautiful! My 8 month old daughter has just discovered that whilst books are tasty to chew on, it’s much more fun reading them. These beanbags are the perfect place to snuggle in for a read… or a chew.
Denym oneill says
I really love the deer but my 15 month old son may have other ideas his nicknames “cheeky monster” so the monster would be perfect he loves to sneak a book and sit in his room and read what he thinks it would say its totally adorable

My son would love the monkey one!! He spends his nap time standing in his cot laughing and talking to the monkey sticker decals on the wall, so he’d probably go nuts at this!!
Kaila says
The red one with the bird on the side π my niece would love everything about this beanbag!!
Melissa Mathews says
The deer is cute but would have to say the Green one with the dreamy owl, adorable! London (2) loves owls & green is my fave colour. They really would be the perfect reading/peppa pig viewing seat, do they make them in adult size! π
Daneyl Green says
I just love the green one with the gorgeous pink owl! Perfect for my little Miss Green and her Boxing Day 2nd Birthday!
Erin says
Would love the Navy! (It may hide the grot!) We have the sadest looking flip out couch, that just doesn’t cut the mustard anymore – this would be a great replacement!
Renee Kew says
Ooooh! I’ve been eyeing off these beanbags for ages, but alas have needed other things more. But my cat would really really love it if he didn’t have to share his bean bag anymore. And I would love it if my 1yr old son would stop divebombing the cat. We love the monkey!
Erin says
Hi Veggie mama,
I adore the green beanbag that Abby is sitting on. The little owl is so sweet. But they are all gorgeous.
livi_grace says
The King Kurtis Bean Bag is so gorgeous. My nephew would go nuts for these. He’s 18 months…. Mr independent and already King of the castle so his own King Kurtis bean bag would suit him perfectly.

Nadene says

I would love the red mini monkey for my 2 little monkeys (a girl and a boy) since they will be sharing it… ie fighting over it and no doubt pushing each other onto-and off- it!! These are just gorgeous and would fit perfectly in their primary colours room!
Frances says
I would love the green bean bag for my three monkeys to fight over! Last year for Christmas I was to make my two eldest (5 & 2) bean bags. I cut out the downloaded pattern for both. Started sewing, realises I had misread and now we have one banana boat shaped beanbag… It’s not much fun!
π maybe I will attempt it again..
marypreston says
The Red Mini Monkey would be ideal thank you. Such a cute design, bright colours and looks so comfy cosy.
Kerry L says
The green dreamy owl is divine. My 2 year old will be moving into her new “big girl” room after Christmas to make way for her new little brother and this would perfectly complete the reading nook I’ve planned for her. Her favourite bed-time story is “Owl Babies”, so she would be much excited to have an owl friend to cuddle into and hoot at while we read! (Although I’m sort of hoping she’ll have a new favourite by then….while “Owl Babies” is a great book it becomes a little tarnished after the 100th reading!)
Jessie Hay says
I would love the red mini monkey for my 4 year old son Connor who has just outgrown his day nap. (I know I’ve been lucky) His younger siblings still nap so we have a deal- Connor can read quietly while they are asleep as much as he likes π This would be great to go in his room and give him somewhere comfy other than his bed to read π
Sally D says
We’ve just had to toss out a very worn out canvas bean bag that my almost 4 year old loved to relax on – I’d love to surprise him with a new red monkey one for his 4th birthday (which is right before Christmas)!
ClaireyHewitt says
Would love an owl Cocoon Couture bag. We have two bags already but I find we often need an extra for when a little friend is visiting. I would love to have a spare one.
Karly says
The navy King Kurtis. It’s “blokey” and being a dark colour will hide the dirt best.
Yellow_Dandy says
Oh I love the sweet deer! How adorable!! I’ve been on the look out for cute bean bags, these are great!
Brigette @ Patchwork Natural says
The green owl one that your darling Abby is sitting on! (however, maybe that exact one, I’m sure my daughter would like to dirty her own) because green is her favourite colour, and she needs a nice comfy place to sit and birdwatch out of her window, sitting on birds watching birds, you get that kinda humour, right? π
Kymmie says
I saw these on a recent email from Cotton On and confess that I feel in love. With all of them. I’m a bean bag girl since the 70s and I love them all! Perfect for reading a book, nestling in for a sleep, or (more recently) playing on the iPad. Navy blue for my dirty boys though. And monsters, because they love them more than birds and owls… x
Sonia @ natural new age mum says
I would love the green owl one. My daughter is unusual in that her favourite colour is green! She also lerves owls.
Malinda says
Oh my goodness these are adorable! They look perfect for story time. I think my girls would love the owl one because it would match their rooms perfectly and “hoo” doesn’t love owls!
Nicole says
I have been eyeing off these gorgeous beanbags forever. And today, by chance, I discovered that they are now available at Cotton On Kids. With 30% off, I couldn’t resist buying a couple for my kids (I’m over those horrible fold-out kids sofas that always lose their shape…Cocoocn Couture bean bags look so much more durable, comfortable and gorgeous). But alas, when my husband got home, he asked why I hadn’t bought a third (poor third child…always missing out). So, I’m sure my darling 20 month old daughter would love the watermelon little robin (because I do) to go with her big sister and brother’s green dreamy owl and navy King Kurtis.
Jade says
My little girl would love the bird design – sweet and cute just like her.
Jen L says
This is a really nice product! I’ve been search for nice beanbags recently but hadn’t settled on anything I really liked. I’d choose the bright red beanbag with the monkey design for my son – though the full set would be nice!
Di says
The green one, it’s my favourite colour!
Diana O says
Red, vibrant and fun, screaming out to be sat on!!!
Wendy Daniels says
I Love the Owl its green background is my daughters favourite colour because it’s the same colour of her eyes.
Karina Wong says
I love the owl beanbag – owls are sooo in right now! =)
alisa says
I have loved owls even before they became cute and popular. The green bean bag would be just lovely for me. I suppose that I might sometimes share it with my twins.
Ying Ying TAN says
Love the red monkey design for my cheeky hyperactive little monkey who keeps falling off her study chair!! Maybe the beanbag would be a better chair to fall off from, hehe!
Lara Daebritz says
The WATERMELON LITTLE ROBIN is Ava’s choice;
The cutest Chrissie gift…she would so rejoice…
In kicking back and relaxing on her own bean-bag;
While I toss out her Barbie couch with the sorry sag!
SweetPea says
Miss 4 and I agreed on the Sweet Deer Bean Bag. Perfect for her special little space in the living room where she can sit and read or colour or even play Mummy’s iPad. This could be my saviour and be too comfortable that she can no longer resist napping! ….A Mummy can hope, right?

The Green Dreamy Owl because it really is one cute fowl!!
