In addition to my savoury and sweet lunchbox ideas this week, allow me to introduce these wonderful ladies who kick nutrition up a notch when it comes to kid snacks. If you’re looking for everyday basics your kids will love and you know is healthy, then feast your eyes, people. Bang THESE in your everyday lunchbox routine and you’ll be kicking parenting goals.
I won’t tell anyone if you keep a bit back for yourself with a cup of tea and Dr Phil later on when the house is quiet π
Bianca has very cleverly created a delicious School Cookie with only THREE ingredients. The recipe makes 8, so you might want to double it.
My homegirl Meg has fed me many a healthy treat this past year, and she’s never put a foot wrong. I made her Strawberry Lemonade StripsΒ and ate the lot myself. But this year, I’ll be sharing with the smalls.
These super-luscious looking pots of deliciousness are actually full of fruit, yogurt, avocado and good things. Georgia says to freeze these little Fruit Whips in lunchbox-sized containers and pack a spoon. I say excellent idea.
We can always count on Sonia to give us good eats and sensible information. Her Healthy Anzac Biscuits are still such a hit here! Her kids love crackers as much as mine do, and she came up with a simple and quick homemade alternative (baking your own crackers can be a huuuuuge effort). Look how crispy and packed full of goodness these babies are! Yum.
Lemon Muffins. LEMON MUFFINS. GIMME.
Meg to the rescue with date-free (and good-fat-filled/sub more seeds for nut-free schools) raw chocolate balls.
And Vegan Banana Bread from a little bit of a new obsession of mine, The Slowpoke. Glorious!
Who are your favourite wholefood bloggers? Remember our list from a while ago?

That fruit leather looks divine! And it’s the first recipe I’ve seen that doesn’t need to cook for a bazillion hours. Can’t wait to try it!
Veggie Mama says
Ha I think that’s why I liked it!
Samantha Marshall says
I don’t blame you – I’ve been put off trying to make my own fruit leather because it all looks so time consuming. I’m all for healthy food, but it also needs to be on my plate in a healthy amount of time. π
Veggie Mama says
haah I’m just really dopey and I will forget things that have been in the oven too long. and then they’re inedible! plus i’m hungry and don’t want to wait

I made mango roll ups recently and my husband ate the lot! Not a single one made a lunch box (you can imagine how pleased I was). Those things will need to go into hiding! My prep boy is a strawberry fanatic so I think I’ll be giving these lemonade and strawberry ones a shot. Ta x
