Need vegetarian meal ideas for Thanksgiving? I’ve got you covered. Want to eat feast delights just because? Got you covered on that too.
We may not celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but I sure do use it as an excuse to make copious amounts of macaroni and cheese with hefty doses of pumpkin pie chaser. I only ever make pumpkin pie once a year, but hot DAMN is it good. I was so, so skeptical, and then I quickly became a disciple, paying homage to this chameleon vegetable each year in November. But AFTER I get that mac and cheese straight down my gullet.
We’ve done a few things for the Thanksgiving meals over the years, but I think this year will finally be the one we bust out a Tofurkey. After nine years of being vegetarian in this country, this intriguing option has at last made its way to our shores. I owe it to my curious 2005 self to give it a go.
If you’re looking for non-fake-turkey options, here’s how we’ve had vegetarian Thanksgiving dinners:
Paula Deen’s Macaroni and Cheese
This Mac and Cheese (minus the sundried tomatoes) will be making an appearance this year (late, because I’ll be away on the day. But mac and cheese, y’know?)
Paula Deen’s Southern Cornbread Stuffing (with veg substitutions for stock, etc. Be warned it makes a TON)
Chef Art Smith No-Knead Dinner Rolls
Sides are the star of the show
The Best Pumpkin Pie in the Universe
Mashed sweet potato
Green beans with slivered almonds
Corn on the cob
Homemade gravy (really good if you make it from the pan you roasted your vegetables in – don’t forget the rosemary!)
And recipes I’ve considered for a vegetarian holiday table:
Seitan Roast with Mushroom and Leek Stuffing
Smoked Chile Scalloped Sweet Potatoes
What’s on your table this year? What do you WISH was on your table?

I actually made banoffee this year…not traditional but this pregnant momma wanted caramel so banoffee it was!
I also generally make a killer corn bread stuffing that is decidedly not vegetarian (it involves sausage) and is decidedly not healthy (it involves almost as much butter and cream as corn bread).

@I just, got paid $7500 working off my computer this month. And if you think that’s cool, my friend has twin toddlers and made over $8k her first month. It feels so good making so much money when other people have to work for so much less. This is what I do,

I definitely would have chowed down on sausage stuffing had it ever been presented to me pre-veg!

I believe everything published was very reasonable. But, think about this, what if you added a little
information? I am not saying your content is not good, but suppose you added a post title
that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Vegetarian Thanksgiving
Meal Ideas | Veggie Mama is a little plain. You ought to glance
at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create news
headlines to grab viewers interested. You might try
adding a video or a related picture or two to get readers
excited about everything’ve got to say. In my opinion, it could make
your blog a little bit more interesting.
