After practising yoga for 10 years, including up to 37 weeks pregnant with Bigs (got lazy after that), I took somewhat of a hiatus after I became a mum.
Mostly because I’m pretty much still in parent-of-small-children survival mode and neglect to fit it in, and usually because I end up as some kind of child jungle gym.
And then she pushes all the way through and hangs off my leg.
So I totally give up and let them have their fun.
Which, admittedly, is pretty damn cute.
Bigs is actually very interested, so I gave her this mat and treated myself to a brand new one. Because that purple one saw me through my entire 10 years and it’s time to move on.
I like this sprightly young lady for my stuff, and for kid yoga, the girls love this one.
I usually do mine first, and then play theirs. But Bigs joins in with me. You can watch her in adorable action here 😉

Seven m0nths ago I l0st my j0b and after that I was f0rtunate enough to stumble upon a great website which literally saved me. I started w0rking for them 0nline and in a short time after I’ve started averaging 15k a month…. The best thing was that cause I am not that computer savvy all I needed was some basic typing skills and internet access to start… This is where I started—– huluwork.Com

They are insane. They are the cutest ever and they make everything better! Except sleep.

I’ve had to get up early to fit my yoga practise in because of the same issue… the little one buts in and tries to take over my mat! She does a fantastic downward dog lol. I should just start going to the mums and bubs session with her. Cute pics Veggie Mama x
Veggie Mama says
Oh that’s an adorable idea! I’d have one doing a serious downward dog, and another running around sticking her finger in people’s noses.

So cute Stacey and Abbey looks like she’s got good form….. lol….. I’m staying my Zumba back up tomorrow and it’ll be interesting to see if my little man tries to join in or trip me up or maybe just pay with his toys. I think he’ll try and join in myself hehe he follows me everywhere.
Veggie Mama says
Zumba looks like fun! I think I can dance myself fit.
Michelle Lisle says
It’s alot of fun….I actually just finished it about 20 minutes ago and at first Francis kept turning off the dvd player, then he sat and watched for a bit but in the end he played with his cars while I danced up a storm in the living room lol

Too funny…I was just talking about yoga on the blog today…well some yoga cards I love to use with the kids at school! I am such a gumby at sport that on Friday afternoons in sports time when I used to be given a group of kids to ‘do physical activity with’ I would PANIC. Until I discovered yoga…and these yoga cards…and DVDs! And relaxation CDs! So then I got to do yoga with 60 girls. Twasn’t terribly relaxing I have to say but it was fun!
Veggie Mama says
hah I was one of the kids who did computers instead of sport. Me and physical activity? Ain’t happening!
Megan AKA ChildrensBooksDaily says
Ahhhhh but THESE days we have to MAKE them to the physical activity!!! Tis horrendous.

I am contemplating joining a gym – hold me!- because if I tried to do anything at home it’d look a lot like you & biggie smalls. Not sure I’ll get cute workout partners like yours at the gym though 🙂
Veggie Mama says
They’d be sweaty, I bet. Go do it! Imagine the childfree feeling!
Jos says
Love this post and how cute are those baby yogis!!!!! Start ’em young and keep ’em keen – best thing all round. Thanks for the link to Adriene too in your post – how fab is she? Have checked out some of her vlogs and love them all. What a sport she is too posting so many for free – v impressive!
Veggie Mama says
I love her! she even cracks a joke every now and then, which is the best 🙂
Hugzilla says
LOL, so cute. My two get down and “do their stretches” like mummy, and my two year old even got down and did full-plank push ups the other day. WTF. He must have seen it on Hoopla Doopla or something.
Veggie Mama says
If he saw something on Hoopla Doopla, then I assume he’s falling down all the time with exaggerated facial expressions?

Thank you for sharing the link! I love yoga but haven’t allowed myself to find the time for it, for me, since e was born. I’ve subscribed to the YouTube channel and I’m going to try to do it from now on.
Veggie Mama says
Oh do! Adriene is awesome, and some of her stuff is only 20 minutes! You’ll love it 🙂
Danielle O'Connor says
I do exactly the same thing 🙂 Adriene (or sarah beth) plus some Cosmic Kids for my two littlies. Happy to have stumbled upon your blog. Those pikelets are the bomb!!
Veggie Mama says
Ah we must be meant to be! So glad you like the pikelets, I made them on the weekend and tried not to eat ALL OF THEM myself. Welcome aboard the Veggie Mama train!
